I’ve seen some people at work with a reference to the no hello policy. I love that, because they clarify the kind of exchange they look forward to. Whatever the reason is optimisation, efficiency or personal taste it doesn’t matter: it works for them and they tell the rest of the world how to communicate with them.
I decided to have a similar approach: what are the simplest ideas I’d like to share with my counterparty so they know how I like it?
I called it “Yes, Hello” because I have the belief that business are primarily made of people and I will always personally have a bias for a human-touch in the communication, a smile or a vent when the day asks for it.
